R-HDPE heeft een goede water en zuurstof barrière en is ook redelijk breuk en val bestendig. R-HDPE is het meest gebruikte kunststof voor plastic flessen. R-HDPE is over het algemeen goed bestand tegen zure en alkalische producten en alcohol. R-HDPE is ook bestand tegen een breed spectrum aan chemicaliën, behalve sommige oplosmiddelen zoals terpentine en benzeen. R-HDPE is niet geschikt voor etherische oliën. Gerecycled HDPE is niet toegestaan bij verpakking van voedsel. |
